Pawnee County Commissioners Discuss Proposed Dispatching Cost Hike

(KLZA) -- The Pawnee County Commissioners met with Sheriff Jayme Reed and County Attorney Jennifer Stehlik Ladman Tuesday regarding the dispatch contract with Johnson County.  Johnson County has requested $45,000 for the next year for dispatching services.  The current contract is for $20,400. Pawnee County officials will add some verbiage to the proposal and it will be reviewed again. 

Commissioners also discussed the $94,559 Pawnee County received from the Hauner Estate. The Personal Representative of the Estate informed the Board the Hauners requested the funds be put in the Road Fund.  Commissioners will have a resolution prepared for the next meeting to transfer the money into the Road Fund. 

Pawnee County Assessor Jonathan Bailey met with Commissioners regarding zoning issues.  He informed the Board of an issue with the Rod &  Gun Club. 

A resolution was approved for a special designated liquor license for the Pawnee County Fair.

Commissioners also discussed the west flower garden in front of the Courthouse. Eliza Hunzeker will plant the west flower garden in front of the Courthouse and the east garden she is presently doing.  This is part of an FFA project she is doing.
