(KLZA) -- The Auburn Board of Public Works has issued a Stage I Water Watch which asks water customers to stop any unnecessary water use and conserve water whenever possible.
According to the Nemaha County Herald, drought conditions are affecting the water table with the peak usage months still ahead.
Auburn BPW water customers are asked to curtail some outdoor water uses and make efficient use of indoor water. You should wash full loads of clothes, take short showers and fix leaky toilets.
Hopefully by conserving now it will not be necessary to implement restrictions later this summer.
