USDA Partners and the public are invited to help Kansas celebrate the 150th Anniversary of USDA at an event at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at the Center for Grain and Animal Health Research, 1515 College Avenue, in Manhattan. USDA Secretary Tom Vilsack will give the keynote address at the event. USDA agencies will share information on their programs and services at booths during the event. The new Wind Erosion Research Laboratory, where the event will be held, and the Wheat and Grain Sorghum Milling Laboratory will be dedicated that day with tours available.
This celebration will highlight the important relationship that USDA shares with agricultural producers and the ag industry in Kansas.
