Two men face charges after a disturbance in the Denton area involving a weapon.
According to the Kansas Chief, 30-year-old David Helmstetter of Robinson is accused of waiving a rifle and threatening to kill 50-year-old Gary Hughes of Denton early last Saturday morning.
Helmstetter had left the scene when officers arrived and was taken into custody later at another Denton residence.  Officers confiscated two rifles from his vehicle.
He was arrested on charges of felony criminal threat, criminal treaspass, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
Hughes was arrested on charges of  disorderly conduct and battery.
Helmstetter is currently free on $10,000 bond and Hughes on $2,000 bond.
