Memorial Day observances are scheduled in far northwest Missouri. American Legion Posts from Mound City, Craig, Fairfax, Rock Port, Tarkio, and Westboro will hold services Monday morning.
The services will be held beginning at 8:00 a.m. at the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Mound City. That will be followed by services at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Craig at 8:45a.m.; at the Fairfax City Park at 9:30 a.m.; at 10:15 a.m. at the Memorial Building in Rock Port; at 11:00 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church west of Westboro; at 11:45 a.m. at the Center Grove Cemetery south of Westboro; and at 12:30 Monday afternoon at the Home Cemetery in Tarkio.
Each service will last 15 to 20 minutes, and will honor veterans and loved ones that have passed away.
Legion members are invited to a meal at the Tarkio Legion Building following the services.
