A well known, local banker is dead, dying unexpectedly at his home on Sunday.
Larry Dale Lance, of Fairview, was 63-years-old.
Born in Topeka in 1948, Lance grew up in Colorado, but moved to Fairview in 1974.
At that time, he began working for the Farmers State Bank, where he was employed for 38-years, serving as senior vice-president at the time of his death.
An avid hunter, fisher and golfer, Lance leaves behind a number of survivors, including his wife of 35-years, Emily, along with his parents, a son, a sister, three grandsons, two nieces and a nephew.
A celebration of Larry Lance's life is planned for Thursday afternoon at the Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Hiawatha.
The Farmers State Bank of Fairview will close at 12 Noon Thursday so that officers and employees may attend the funeral.
