The preliminary hearing for a Fairview woman charged with attempted first-degree murder and aggravated endangerment of a child is now set for August 1st.
The hearing for 36-year-old Tammy Thomas had been set for tomorrow ( Wednesday) in Brown County Court, but has been postponed for a second time.
Brown County Attorney Kevin Hill says a judge last week granted a motion filed by Thomas’ attorney, William O’Keefe of Seneca, for a continuance over his objections.
Thomas is accused of placing gasoline on the bed of a child born in 2004 early April 4th in an attempt to kill the child.
The child escaped unharmed and the gasoline wasn’t ignited.
Thomas remains in the Brown County Jail on $750,000 bond.
