There will be contested races this fall for the Doniphan County Commission.
Incumbent 2nd District commissioner Wayne Grable of Troy is being challenged for the Republican nomination by Terry Horner and Wayne Rush, both of Troy.
The winner of the Republican primary election in August will face Democrat Paul Smith of Troy in November.
Incumbent 3rd District commissioner Jerry McKernan of Wathena is being challenged for the Republican nomination by Dennis Muse of Wathena.
The winner of the primary election will face Democrat Paul Scott of Elwood in November.
Friday was the filing deadline.
