Three young Falls City men escaped serious injury in a two- vehicle accident last Thursday evening.
Authorities say a pickup driven by 17 year old Mark Birdsell had stopped at the stop sign at 35th and Highway 73. Birdsell said that after waiting for a semi-truck to go by he headed east across highway 73 and was struck by a northbound car driven by 18 year old Robert Chab.
Birdsell, Chab and 18 year old Daniel Frenzel, a passenger in the Birdsell vehicle, were all taken to Community Medical Center to be examined.
Birdsell was issued a citation. All of the occupants were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident.
