The Brown County Historical Society will host “ Men were Cheap, Cattle Cost Money: 150 years of the Kansas Beef and Beefpacking Industry” Tuesday evening.
Donald Stull, a professor of anthropology at the University of Kansas, will discuss the history of the Kansas beef industry and its impact on communities.
The presentation will take place at 7 o’clock Tuesday evening at the Frances Sewell Plamann History Center located at 701 Oregon Street in Hiawatha.
The program is made possible by the Kansas Humanities Council and locally sponsored by Rainbow Communications.
