A Leona, Kansas man escaped serious injury in a single-vehicle accident in Livingston County, Missouri Tuesday evening.
According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, 38-year-old Taylor Gatz was traveling east on U.S. 36 highway about a ¼ mile west of Chillicothe when his 2012 Chevy Cruise ran off the right side of the roadway, striking a guard rail. The vehicle crossed the eastbound lanes and struck a concrete bridge railing on the left side of the highway around 5 p.m.
Gatz received minor injuries in the accident, but refused medical attention.
The patrol says he was wearing a seat belt.
