The Pawnee City Council will hold its next regular meeting at 7:30 this evening.
The agenda includes a vote on the first reading of an ordinance to set up a Wellhead Protection Area around the city’s wells.
The council will discuss several matters with City Attorney Betsy Ferebee. That includes problems with trucks being driven on city streets, discussion of a truck route ordinance, and more discussion of changes to the employee handbook and the Law Enforcement Agreement with Pawnee County.
The council will entertain a motion to appoint Joe Stehlik as City Attorney and Jennifer Ladman Deputy City Attorney. Betsy Ferebee is resigning as City Attorney effective July 1st.
And the council will begin discussion on items pertaining to the budget for the next fiscal year, including employee wages and capital improvement projects.
