The preliminary hearing for a former Sabetha police officer charged with distribution of methamphetamine and official misconduct has been postponed.
The hearing for Ryan Bruggeman was continued Monday in Nemaha County Court to July 16th at 11 a.m.
Bruggeman was arrested in late May following an investigation by the Kansas Bureau of investigation.
According to court documents, the alleged crimes occurred on December 19th, 2010. The documents indicate that the meth was allegedly taken from police evidence.
Bruggeman was an officer with the Sabetha Police Department from June 2009 through April 2011.
He is currently free on $150,000 bond.
