Commissioners were talk to other counties who have the coverage and County Attorney Kevin Hill before making a decision.
Closed-door sessions were held to interview two candidates for a part-time position in the county appraiser’s office. Two other candidates were interviewed last week.
The Brown County Commission has approved an upgrade for the sheriff’s department’s repeater system.
Deputy James Traxler told commissioners Monday that the upgrade will include full remote access and management capability, which will shorten response time, improve public safety and save money on service calls.
The $920 cost for the upgrade will be paid to Midwest Mobile Radio Service from the commissioner fund.
In other business, Sheriff John Merchant introduced Art Rose with Advanced Correctional Healthcare who presented a proposal for inmate health care.
