A Centralia man escaped serious injury in a single-vehicle accident Tuesday afternoon on K-62 Highway just north of the Jackson/Nemaha County line.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says 50-year-old Jerald Hermesch was driving a semi truck pulling a flatbed trailer hauling round hay bales northbound when the semi left the road, went into a ditch, and overturned.
Hermesch was transported to the Nemaha Valley Community Hospital in Seneca with possible injuries.
A passenger, 16-year-old Jeorge Hermesch of Goff, was not hurt.
The accident was reported shortly before 3:30 Tuesday afternoon.
