Two women from Holt County Missouri were taken to the hospital following an accident north of Forest City Saturday night.
According to the Missouri State Patrol, 36-year-old Amy Chenoweth of Forest City was driving a 1984 Pointiac south on Highway 159 at around 10:25 Saturday evening, when another vehicle, driven by 59-year-old Curtis Prussman of Craig crossed the centerline into the path of her vehicle. The vehicles struck nearly head-on.
Chenoweth and a passenger in her vehicle, 23-year-old Brittany Fouts of Oregon, Missouri, were taken by ambulance to Heartland Hospital in St. Joseph. Chenoweth’s injuries were described as moderate, while Fouts had minor injuries.
Prussman was not injured. He was charged with two felony counts of second-degree vehicular assault, along with a misdemeanor count of driving while intoxicated, and failing to drive on the right lane of the highway causing an accident.
