( KNZA Radio )--Formal charges were filed today ( Tuesday ) in Brown County against two teens involved in an Amber Alert last week.
17-year-old Logan Burris of Leavenworth was charged in Brown County District Court with four misdemeanor counts---obstructing official duty, driving while license canceled, suspended or revoked, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
16-year-old Jenna Hord of Atchison was charged with three misdemeanor counts—obstructing official duty, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The two teens are to make their first appearance in court August 7th.
Authorities issued an Amber Alert last Thursday after they say Burris allegedly forced Hord into a car at a Leavenworth convenience store the night before.
They were later stopped while driving through Hiawatha after a tip from an alert citizen.
Charges are also expected for Burris in Leavenworth, but prosecutors declined to comment, citing Burris is juvenile.
