(KAIR) -- Voter Registration for the Atchison County Primary Election on August 7th will close at 5:00 pm on July 17th.
According to Atchison County Clerk Pauline Lee, anyone that has moved, changed a name or will reach the age of 18 by the August 7th election needs to re-register.
People wanting to change their party affiliation will also need to do so by July 17th.
Advance ballots will be going out in the mail on July 18th.
All voters need to show voter identification when going to the polls to vote or coming up to vote in advance, due to a new state law.
