(KNZA)--As the investigation into the fatal house explosion that happened July 6th in Horton continues, city leaders now look into removal of the rubble of what once stood as the home of Ronnie Tulk.
The 58-year-old Tulk died in that early Friday evening blast that leveled his home, and left rescue crews searching several hours for his remains.
His son, Casey Tulk, is set to meet with the City Commission Monday evening to discuss the procedure for cleaning up the remnants of the destroyed home, at 1588 2nd Avenue West.
An exact cause for the explosion has not yet been determined.
Kansas Gas Service, on the scene following the blast, declared that no gas leak was found.
Focus then turned to what neighbor's say was Tulk's use of Blue Flame propane inside the home, even when his pilot light was out.
The Kansas Fire Marshall's office is assisting with the ongoing investigation into the exact cause of the explosion.
The matter of removing the rubble will be discussed when the Horton City Commission meets for their regular session at 5:15 Monday evening at Horton City Hall.
