(KTNC) - The Falls City Economic Development and Growth Enterprise continues to be busy. EDGE Executive Director Beckie Cromer highlighted some of the organization’s activities in the past three months during her quarterly report to the Fall City Council Monday night.

EDGE continues to help local firms find qualified employees, locally and regionally, as Cromer explains. (play audio :31)
Cromer said they are working with area schools and ESU 4 to create a manufacturing career academy, which would be similar to the current healthcare and energy career academies.
Other highlights in the EDGE report, Cromer says Marvin Planning has been hired to work on Falls City’s Comprehensive plan, which will be completed over the next 12-to-14 months. (play audio :26)
Cromer said a 2012 labor study has been completed and is posted on the EDGE website. And progress has been made to bring electricity to a 10.1 acre site in the Falls City Industrial Park.
