(KTNC) - Two Peru State College football players have earned pre-season honors from a national publication.
“USA Football News” has named senior linebacker Preston Bruss and junior return specialist Garret Campbell as NAIA pre-season second team all-Americans.
Defensive lineman Neil Bowman is listed as a regional pre-season all-star.
This is the 20th year USA Football News has released a pre-season all-American team. Members of the team are chosen by coaches, sports information directors, pro scouts, media, certified player agents, and magazine staff.
This is the second pre-season recognition for Bruss, who was also named to the Beyond Sports Network 2012 NAIA Pre-season All-America Third Team.
Bruss, Campbell, and Bowman will join the returning Bobcat football players on August 8th when the ‘Cats report for fall camp. Peru State opens the season August 25th when they travel to Madison, South Dakota to take on Dakota State University. The home opener is the following weekend when the Bobcats host Baker University.
