You may notice unmarked police vehicles driving slowly along northwest Missouri roads over the next few months.
The vehicles will be on the roads as the Missouri State Patrol conducts a radio coverage survey. Current and retired State Patrol members are conducting the coverage survey on new communications equipment for the entire Troop H area in northwest Missouri.
The survey must be done on every road throughout the area to ensure the system functions properly.
As part of the survey, you may notice unmarked patrol vehicles traveling very slowly in some of the more rural areas of Troop H. The unmarked vehicles will be occupied by one State Patrol member or a retired Patrol employee along with two employees from the Motorola Company.
The State Patrol says the field-testing is expected to last several months.
