(KNZA)--The affects of drought are being felt across Kansas, with farmers throughout the state struggling to rescue whatever they can of early planted crops, hit hard by the extremely hot, dry conditions experienced this summer.

The devastating hot, dry conditions have ravaged crops across the state, with many farmers, in areas outside the local area, all but giving up on the corn, using it for silage in an attempt to salvage some use from the weather beaten crop.
