(KTNC) - The Falls City softball team will open the home portion of their season Thursday night against perennial northwest Missouri power Maryville. The junior varsity game begins at 5:00 p.m. and first pitch for the varsity game is scheduled at 6:30.
The game will be the first played at the newly renovated John H. and Amalia P. Morehead Field at Grandview Park. The field was rebuilt as the first part of Falls City Recreation’s ballpark renovation project, which will also result in new ball diamonds at Dallas Jones Park.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at the Grandview Park field to mark its completion at 4:30 p.m. Thursday prior to the junior varsity game.
KTNC-AM 1230 will broadcast the varsity game Thursday night.
