A pair of top 10 finishes for Jefferson County North, Pleasant Ridge and Sabetha at the Wamego cross country invite over the weekend.
Third, fourth and fifth place finishes for Kanzaland area athletes in the boys 5k run at the Wamego invite. Tony Weber, from Pleasant Ridge finished third place falling behind second by only six seconds. Weber was followed by Jefferson County North Charger, Dallas Edwards in fourth and Trenton Cox from Sabetha finished fifth.
While in the girls 4k competition one Ram, Charger and Bluejay finished in the top 10, as well. Sabetha Bluejay, Taryn Schuette had the highest finish of any Kanzaland area runner in the girls competition, as she placed sixth on the day. Jefferson County North Charger, Mallory Kramer finished ninth place, while Pleasant Ridge Ram, Rachel Hattok rounded out the top 10 individual finishes.
As a team it was the Sabetha Bluejays notching the highest finish for Kanzaland area teams in the boys competition with a sixth place finish. While in the girls competition it was a third place finish for Pleasant Ridge and fifth for Sabetha.
