The Peru State volleyball team snapped a ten game losing streak Saturday in the final match of the John Brown University Invitational in Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
After dropping their first three matches of the tournament, the ‘Cats defeated Huston-Tillotson University of Texas, 3-0.
On Friday, Peru State fell to John Brown College 3-0, and then lost to Wiley College, 3-1. The Bobcats dropped a close 5 set match to Southwestern Assemblies of God in their first match on Saturday, losing by game scores of 31-29, 16-25, 23-25, 25-23, 16-14.
The Bobcats rebounded from that loss to sweep Huston-Tillotson 25-19, 25-17, 25-19.
Peru State is now 2-14 on the season. They play their first home games of the season on Wednesday, with a triangular against Central Christian College and Grace University. The ‘Cats will participate in the LaQuinta Inn Tournament in Salina, Kansas, this weekend.
