( KNZA )-- The Jackson County Commission Monday approved one road closure and took no action on a second closure.
The commission held a public hearing on a request to close a portion of 238th Road between C & D Roads.
Three landowners were present for the hearing. One of the landowners, Terry Bottom, requested that the west quarter of the road be left open.
After some discussion, and with the landowners being in agreement, the commission voted to vacate the east ¾ mile of the road less 50 feet
Meanwhile, four landowners were present to oppose the closing of a portion of O Road between 254th and 258th Roads.
After some discussion, the commission voted to take no action on the road vacation.
