( KLZA )-- A Falls City woman convicted of child abuse will spend 30 days in jail and must write a letter of apology to the victim’s mother as part of the terms of her probation.
23 year old Chelsea Porter was placed on two years probation last week in Richardson County District Court on the misdemeanor child abuse charge.
She had originally been charged with a felony count of child abuse, but pleaded no contest to the amended charge as part of a plea agreement. .
Porter was charged after a 10-month child she was babysitting was brought to the emergency room at the Community Medical Center in Falls City last October with injuries medical personnel felt may have been caused in a child abuse situation.
