Falls City Council To Conduct Hearing on Consolidated Grain & Barge Redevelopment Plan

(KLZA) The Falls City, City Council will hold a public hearing on the Consolidated Grain and Barge Company redevelopment plan when they meet Monday evening . 

Following the public hearing the Council will consider adoption of a resolution approving the plan. 

In a related matter, the council will consider a memorandum of understanding between the City and Consolidated Grain and Barge for a loan – grant in the amount of $500,000 from LB-840 Re-Use Funds as recommended by the Citizens Advisory Review Committee.

Other business items are on a request to approve contracts for an owner occupied rehab grant.  Recommendations will be reviewed on management salary adjustments and setting of vehicle allowances for the next fiscal year.  A recommendation on the Assistant Chief of Police and non-union dispatcher will also be reviewed.

 Recommendations on wages for part-time and seasonal employees for the next fiscal year will also be reviewed.  Action is expected on a request to use streets and parks for a fun run and walk October 27th by the Therapy Department at Community Medical Center.

Council members will also discuss authorizing Mayor Tim Hersh to sign documents necessary to change the name of the Towle Addition approved September 17th to Towle Second Addition and to sign necessary documents on the CGB Addition to show the Towle Second Addition name change.
