Falls City School Board Approves Audit Report
11/13/2012

(KTNC) - The Falls City Board of Education accepted the Financial Report and Audit for 2011-2012 during Monday night’s meeting.
Julie Bauman presented the Audit to board members.  Bauman praised Falls City Public Schools, saying that the district does an “exceptional job” with accounting and classifying the three accounts the auditors examine.
Bauman did express disappointment in one area, not with the School District, but with the County Treasurer.  (play audio   :50)
In other action Monday, the District 56 Board authorized the purchase of a special education van to replace a minivan that was totaled in an accident, up to a purchase price of $15,000.  Superintendent Tim Heckenlively told the board the district’s insurance company would provide just under $4,000 in replacement costs for the totaled van.
The board also approved the second and final reading of a policy revision pertaining to graduation requirements.
