(KTNC) - The Missouri Department of Transportation’s Northwest District will sell six former maintenance facilities and properties at auctions in December. The properties will be auctioned during a three-day sales event beginning Wednesday, December 12, and continuing through Friday, December 14.
The facilities that will be sold were identified through Mo-Dot’s five-year plan as no longer necessary to maintain the state’s highway system.
Among the properties that will be sold is the Atchison County Lot in Rock Port. That includes a 2.3-acre vacant lot on U.S. Highway 136. That will be auctioned at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 14.
The Nodaway County Maintenance Facility in Barnard, which includes a 4.2-acre lot and shop buildings on Route M, will be auctioned at 10:00 a.m. on December 14.
Prospective buyers are encouraged to view the properties at an open house, scheduled from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on December 7, where MoDOT staff will be available to answer questions.
The properties will be sold “as is” and all sales are subject to final approval by the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission.
