11/21/2012

(KLZA) Richardson County Commissioners voted Tuesday to consider a resolution when they meet on Monday, November 26th that would decrease the medical reimbursement amount to County employees from $1,250 to $650 for 2013.
The Board also reviewed a letter form Falls City Optometrist Dr. McPeak regarding the discontinuance of his office accepting the current vision insurance plan Richardson County has in place.  Commissioners reviewed the Vision Care Direct plan that Dr. McPeak’s office will accept as of January 1st.   The Board voted to approve the Vision Care Plan effective January 1st, and to remove as a Richardson County Payroll Deduction, the Ameritas VSP Vision plan as of December 31st.
Commissioners also met with Noxious Weed Control Superintendent Joe Wittwer to review the program in the County.  The Noxious Weed Control Board will be dissolved as of December 1st.  Commissioners requested Wittwer consider additional duties with the County to assist the Highway Superintendent with the notices to landowners to comply with Nebraska State Statutes for the control of brush and trees along county road right-of-way.
Wittwer was agreeable to the extraduties.
Dan Schintock with ETI Engineers presented information to the Board on the replacement of the Courthouse air conditioning system.  Final plans are being completed and specifications should be ready to let out for sealed bids the first part of December.
