(KLZA) A rural Falls City home was destroyed by fire early Friday morning.
The Falls City Rural Fire Department was called out shortly after 3 o'clock Friday morning to the house located about five miles northwest of Falls City.
The home is owned by Marvin Arnold who rents the home out to Tom Vitale and his family, which includes three children.
The Nebraska State Fire Marshall’s office is investigating the cause of the fire.
Firemen were on the scene until about 8:20 a-m and were called back due to a flare-up later in the morning.
The family was only able to get out of the house with what they had on. The American Red Cross was called to help the family with clothing and immediate needs.
14 members of the Falls City Rural Fire Department responded to the call along with a tanker and two firemen with the Verdon Rural fire Department and one Shubert firefighter.
