( KMZA )Two new family practitioners will join the medical staff of Community Memorial Healthcare in Marysville in August of next year.
Drs.Ben Bruna and Shane Thoreson will practice family medicine at the Marysville Clinic.
Dr. Bruna attended the University of Kansas in Lawrence where he received his
Bachelor of General Studies degree in May, 2005. After finishing his undergraduate degree, he entered the University of Kansas School of Medicine, graduating in May of 2010. Bruna will complete his three-year residency at Smoky Hill Family Medicine in Salina in June of 2013.
Bruna is the son of Alan and Marie Bruna of Hanover. He and his wife, Cheryl (Bergman), a native of Baileyville, have three children. They will live in Hanover.
Dr. Shane Thoreson attended Kansas State University where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology. After finishing his undergraduate degree, he entered the University of Kansas School of Medicine, graduating in May of 2010. Thoreson will complete his three-year residency at Smokey Hill Family Medicine in June of 2013.
Thoreson is the son of Byron and Cindy Thoreson of Marysville. He and his wife, Laura, are expecting their first child in January. Laura, a physical therapist, will join the staff of Crist & Pieschl Physical Therapy in late summer, 2013.
