( KNZA )--A three vehicle accident on U.S. 75 Highway about one mile north of Holton this ( Tuesday) morning sent a Holton teenager to the hospital.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says 56-year-old Rhonda Tracy of Mayetta stopped on the highway to make a left turn onto Parkway Avenue. A second vehicle, a Nissan Altima driven by 17-year-old Briana Emert, was stopped behind Tracy’s GMC Envoy. The Patrol says a third northbound vehicle, a Ford Mustang driven by 15-year-old Zane Richter of Holton, failed to slow down, striking Emert’s car in the rear and pushing it into the rear of Tracy’s vehicle.
Emert was transported to the Holton Community Hospital.
The other drivers and a passenger in Richter’s car were not hurt.
The Patrol says all the occupants were wearing seat belts.
The accident was reported shortly before 8 o’clock this ( Tuesday ) morning.
