( KNZA )-The Holton Community Hospital took over ownership of the Goff Medical Clinic in Wetmore January 1st.
The hospital purchased the clinic located at 323 2nd Street from Dr. Lowell Searight, who also owns a family practice in Hiawatha.
The clinic will be renamed Family Practice Associates—Wetmore.
Holton Hospital CEO Carrie Saia says they are very excited about the purchase and to be expanding their family medicine services to the Wetmore area.
Saia says the two current employees at the clinic, advanced registered nurse Katie Heinen and Emma Krogmann, will continue to work at the clinic, which will make it a very seamless transition.
The clinic will be open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Dr. Clint Colberg, who has been with Family Practice Associates since August 2008, will be available Tuesday mornings from 9 to 11 at the new location.
The clinic will be open on Fridays, but there will not be a provider available to take regularly scheduled appointments.
