Seneca Police Getting Ballistic Shields
01/22/2013

( KMZA )--The Seneca Police Department will soon gain new protective armor.

The City Council last week approved the purchase of three bullet-proof ballistic shields for the police department at a total cost of six-thousand dollars.

Police Chief Brent Schulte says they will be placed in each of the department’s three patrol cars for emergency use.

The council also gave Schulte permission to seek bids for a new pickup to replace the department’s current pickup.

He said the old one will be used by the street department after the new one arrives.
