(KTNC) - Residents of Peru are invited to participate in a town hall meeting, scheduled for Thursday, February 7, at 5:30 p.m., at Peru City Hall.
At the meeting, officials from the City of Peru, Peru State College, and the Nebraska Department of Roads will review the proposed Park Avenue improvement plan.
The city, college, and the Department of Roads have been exploring options for Park Avenue for over a year. One possibility that’s been discussed is for the Department of Roads to transfer ownership of Park Avenue to the City of Peru.
The meeting on February 7th has been scheduled for 5:30 p.m. with the intent to gather those interested in the project for a focused discussion, to share information and provide input.
Leaders from the city and college encourage all Peru residents to participate. Anyone who has specific concerns or suggestions about Park Avenue but will not be able to attend the meeting should contact City Hall, the Mayor, or City Council prior to the meeting.
