(KTNC) - The Pawnee City Council discussed the one and six year street plan during Monday night’s meeting.
Engineer Evan Wickersham was unable to make the trip from Nebraska City due to fog, but council member Roxann Buman and Shop Foreman Clint Johnson explained some of the streets they’d like to prioritize on the one-year plan.
Buman said they’d like to prioritize repairs to one block on the east side of the Pawnee Village and three blocks of the street behind the Pawnee City School.
Other recommendations are to close a portion of I Street, and to convert a two-block section of Boston Street between I Street and G Street into a gravel street.
Pawnee City is accepting sealed bids for three items – a 1973 Ford Fire Truck, with a 1,250 gallon tank and 31,665 miles; a 1977, 30-kilowatt, Onan Generator; and a 2001 Lift Station.
Bids will be accepted for those items at the Pawnee City office until 5:00 p.m. on Monday, February 11. The bids will be opened at 8:15 that evening during the regular City Council meeting. The items can be inspected by contacting Pawnee City Hall at 402-852-2781.
