(KNZA)--Area authorities are advising motorists to take caution while traveling, as area roadways remain slick.
In the last several hours, two Brown County slideoffs have been reported, leaving the drivers with minor injuries.
The most recent of the two happened north of Reserve, where a vehicle slid off the roadway, crashed into the ditch and was at first believed to have caught fire. After the female driver was able to walk to safety and reported the slideoff, authorities located the vehicle shortly before 3:00, and reported that it was not ablaze.
The strong winds are causing snow to blow over the roadways, where it then packs and refreezes in the extremely cold temperatures causing the dangerous driving conditions.
Authorities say to slow down, allow extra time, and make sure there is plenty of room between you and other vehicles on the roadway.
