(KNZA )-New air conditioning units will be installed at the Doniphan County Courthouse in Troy.
The Doniphan County Commission Monday accepted a bid from Pierce Heating and Cooling in Atchison for the installation of nine A-C units at a cost not to exceed $76,445.
The units will carry a 2 year labor warranty, 7 year compressor warranty and 5 year parts warranty.
In other business, bids were opened for the cash renting of 9 ½ acres of hay ground and 22 ½ acres of row crop ground at the Doniphan County landfill.
The commission accepted the high bid from Sherman Smith for the renting of the hay ground for $52.63 an acre from April 1st through December 31st of this year. It was among three bids received.
The high bid was accepted from Jared Meng for the renting of the row crop ground for $250 an acre from March 1st through December 31st. It was among 6 bids received.
