( KNZA )-A three-vehicle accident Saturday evening in Hiawatha sent a Sabetha teenager to the hospital.
According to the Hiawatha Police Department, the accident occurred shortly after 7:15 at 1st and Miami Streets.
The Police Department says 64-year-old Constance Cress of Hiawatha was traveling south on 1st Street and attempted to turn east onto East Miami Street when her vehicle was struck by a northbound vehicle driven by 17-year-old Thomas Dougherty of Robinson. The impact caused the Cress vehicle to strike a westbound vehicle on East Miami Street driven by 71-year-old Lester Soyland of Hiawatha.
A passenger in the Cress vehicle, 14-year-old Autaya Frakes, was transported to the Hiawatha Community Hospital.
Another passenger in the vehicle, 18-year-old Lacie Teel of Hiawatha, was listed as injured but wasn’t transported.
The driver’s were not hurt, or passengers in the Dougherty and Soyland vehicles.
