Richardson Co Commission Approves Purchase of Two Vehicles

 (KLZA )Richardson County Commissioners approved the purchase of a police interceptor and accepting bids for a new pickup patrol unit for the Richardson County Sheriff’s Department when they met last week.

Board members David Sickel and Jim Standerford approved the purchase of a 2013 Ford police interceptor from Hullman’s Ford of Falls City at the price established by the Nebraska Department of Administrative Services of $29,214 plus a $300 fee for delivery of the vehicle to Hullman’s Ford in Falls City.

Bids will be accepted on a pickup patrol unit with bids to be opened April 16th at 11:30 a-m.

Commissioners also awarded a bid for culvert materials to Contech Engineered Solutions of Lincoln  in the amount of $43,677.

Highway Superintendent Scott Huppert updated the Board on road and bridge maintenance.  Discussion was also held on equipment purchases and brush notices.  Crews are also preparing for the surplus auction to be held April 6th.

County Assessor Pam Vice met with the Board to request approval for Deputy Assessor Michelle Kreifels to attend a 4-day training session in May in Lincoln.  

Commissioners Jim Davidson was absent from the meeting.
