Marysville Woman Sentenced in Medicaid Fraud Case

( KNZA )-A Marysville woman convicted on charges in a Medicaid fraud case has been ordered to repay nearly 39-hundred dollars and will serve 18 months probation.

29-year-old Amy Kearn has been sentenced in Marshall County District Court on one count of making a false claim to the Medicaid Program and two counts of forgery.

According to the Kansas Attorney General’s office, the charges stemmed from an investigation into attendant care billings by Kearn in 2011.

Kearn pleaded no contest in January to submitting timesheet and payroll claims for Medicaid services she did not provide.

The case was investigated by the Kansas Attorney General’s Medicaid Fraud and Abuse Division.
