Twombly says the hospital, working with the high school, has arranged a partnership with numerous local agencies to make the re-enactment possible(Play Audio)
According to Twombly, the scenario will allow observers, primarily students from the high school, to experience each detail of a drunken driving tragedy(Play Audio)
Twombly warns the public that the scenario will be realistic; so, realistic in fact, that a medical emergency helicopter will also be on the scene(Play Audio)
Twombly says the drill will allow not only education, but also realistic practice for the emergency responders. Anyone is welcome to view the activity.
The exercise is part of the Hiawatha Community Hospital's community service accredidation to continue as a level 4 trauma center.
A practice run is scheduled for today.
