Underage Drinking Party Shut Down Saturday
04/08/2013

(KMZA)--Warmer weather is, traditionally, noted by law enforcement as a time when crime increases.

Among common occurrences are underage parties, complete with alcohol, often held in public, but desolate, rural locations.

A similar situation happened this past weekend, in Nemaha County, with a Nemaha County Sheriff's deputy discovering the gathering Saturday night, complete with, according to the Sheriff's department, underage drinking.

According to a news release from the department, the party was found to be occurring a quarter mile west of “D” Road, on 112th Road, shortly before 11:00.

The party was broken up by the Sheriff's Department, and six persons are facing charges for alcohol violations.

Names are not immediately released, with the Sheriff's Department stating that the investigation is continuing.
