Child Remembered Through Jeff Co Donation
04/09/2013

(KAIR)--The memory of a father and son, kiled in 2011 Jefferson County skid loader accident, lives on.

That follows the donation of $1,500 by the widow of Mike Fawl, and the mother of Hunter Fawl, who was five years old when he and his father were killed.

Their memorial funds were designated to both the Topeka Zoo and Head Start, both enjoyed by Hunter.

The money has been provided to the Jefferson County Meriden Center Head Start program, where Hunter attended classes.

New educational toys, based on Hunter's enjoyments, have been purchased with a portion of the funding, while center upgrades are also planned.

Hunter's sister, Naomi, is currently a student at the center.

Hunter, and his father, Mike, died in June of 2011 six miles east of Meriden in the skid loader accident.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Hunter was sitting on his father's lap when the skid loader tipped forward, ejecting them both.
