(KAIR) -- In the wake of recent house fires since the beginning of the year in Atchison, including one that was fatal, the Atchison Fire Department is offering tips on how fire can be prevented.
Chief Mike McDermed says a majority of the fires start due to a lack of home and living maintenance.
