(KAIR) -- Missouri Western Griffon coaches & staff will once again be participating in the 5th Annual Bus Tables for Tips Program at the McDonald's at Highway 169 & Interstate 29 in St. Joseph this evening from 5 - 8 PM to support the Second Harvest Food Bank's Backpack Buddies Program.
In addition to tips solicited McDonald's will also be donating 10% of their profits tonight to Backpack Buddies.
The evening’s goal is to raise $2100 which would shatter last year’s mark.
Over 3,200 children in 17 counties in over 50 schools, Head Start or after-school programs around the region are signed up for the Backpack Buddies program for the 2012-2013 school year.
