( KNZA )--A disturbance call leads to the arrest an Everest man on a weapons charge.
Brown County Sheriff John Merchant says they received a disturbance call last Thursday from the Everest area.
Merchant says a Horton police officer arrived in the area and had 19-year-old Leonard Cashman in custody when deputies arrived.
Cashman is accused of firing a gun at an occupied dwelling in the 600 block of Chestnut in Everest. No one was hurt.
He was arrested on a felony charge of criminal discharge of a firearm and misdemeanor charges of obstructing official duty and disorderly conduct.
Cashman made his first appearance in a Brown County courtroom Friday. A preliminary hearing was set for Wednesday.
